On ANZAC Day, a time set aside for reflection and remembrance, members of Lodge Tawhiri stood alongside the wider Hamilton and Waikato community to honour those who have served and sacrificed in the defence of our freedoms.
A number of our brethren proudly took part in the local civic service, marching in quiet dignity as part of a long-standing tradition observed across New Zealand and Australia. Their presence was a visible reminder of the values we hold dear: service, unity, and remembrance.
ANZAC Day is more than a date on the calendar. It is an enduring moment of national reflection, where stories of courage, hardship, and sacrifice are recalled and respected. For many, it is also a personal time to remember family members, friends, and brethren who have worn the uniform.
As Freemasons, we are called to uphold the principles of brotherhood and service to others. Participating in occasions such as this reflects those principles in action, reinforcing our connection to the communities we are part of.
We thank all who attended and represented the Lodge with pride and respect.
